& Harvey McLane Ltd, the Group's principle operating
company, is the UK's largest delivered wholesaler and
distributor supplying a comprehensive range of ambient
products (including tobacco, confectionery, crisps &
snacks, soft drinks, grocery, health and home and alcohol
(the latter through its subsidiary Winerite Limited))
and chilled and frozen products to independent and multiple
retailers. In total, customers have a choice of over
six and a half thousand lines as detailed in the company's
standard order forms. An important feature is its regular
promotional programme which offers a competitive edge
for its customer base. Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd
also provides economic delivery solutions for the manufacturer
to retailer link.
P&H Direct Ltd provides a unique 'to the door' delivery
service through its subsidiary P&H Snacksdirect
Ltd for manufacturers whose customer base includes retailers
and caterers and specialise in the efficient and prompt
handling of crisps & snacks.

Retail Services Ltd provides a further portfolio of
60,000 direct to store lines through its third party
drop shipment scheme ACE which by assisting cash flow
management and cutting administration time and bank
charges by single monthly invoicing system has proved
itself an important asset for thousands of small retailers.
P&H Retail Services Ltd also manages four specifically
targeted symbol groups, Supershop, Your Store, Mace
and Mace Express. Through its trading department, P&H
Retail Services Ltd provides a constant and highly competitive
programme for its symbol members. With YP Electronics
Ltd providing the increasingly vital technology, IT
and EPoS support systems plus the Group's nationwide
network of retail specialists to implement business
development plans by working closely with the P&H
retail customer base, P&H's flexible approach to
wholesaling enables it to provide contemporary distribution
solutions for a wide customer base.
